They continued to charge my account so I just switched banks and figured that would be the end of it. So I went back and they told me they never received my letter or my money, even though I was super pissed I went ahead and paid it again and sent another letter via certified mail. For the next few months they continued to pull money from my account. Went to cancel membership and they said I had to write a letter and mail it to the corporate office via certified mail. I started a membership on 2017, was told I was signing a 1 year contract, that I never saw. I want to request that my rate be kept at what it is, and to ask the club owner not to do whatever he likes to the accounts of customers that plan on staying with the company for years to come. I then asked Hisem to put my rate back to what it was and that I would attend another club instead, and not his any more. Not only is this a form of extortion, an 18-month contract is absurdly long. When I asked the club owner Hisem about this, he said it was to "cover costs" and would only agree to lower my increased rate slightly, not restore it to the former rate I have been paying, if I signed an18 month contract. Recently I began visiting a club (Newmarket, in Queensland) near my current residence, and the gym owner there raised my fortnight rate to $37.90 AUD without my knowledge or permission. This is a competitive rate that, while not the cheapest, I feel is fair. My fee has always been the exact same, $29.90 AUD per fortnight. I have loved the facilities and always managed to find a gym near me to visit wherever I was. I have had an account with Anytime Fitness in Australia since March 2018. This is awful customer service and I am very disappointed in the handling of this matter they said my account was past due stillĪs of today November 16th the account still isnt fixed! Angelique assured me that it would be taken care of and I wouldnt need to worry. I tried to do that today and it didnt work. I was told to take my card in and it would be started over. I went into the East side location and talked to a gentlemen there and he said that the account looked clear, 2 days later my key didnt work, I reached out to them again and they told me at the East side location that I would need to get with the west side location. Katie then called me back and stated she would get it taken care of and made right. I then told her that was unaccetable and wasnt going to pay anything due to my account being on hold. she then sent a text that they could waive the late fees and that was it. I called in a spoke to Shobna and she said she would speak to a manager and call me back and didn't. A few weeks () went by and I was called that my account was PAST DUE. when the next month came i was still billed when i went into the gym they stated it was only for the tanning that was removed. There was a native american guy who did the hold on my account. Well in the Summertime I went in to the West side location and put my account on hold due to finances. I am a long term member of the Farmington, NM East side gym. I fact, I have moved to an equivalent gym that is $180 less a year and has no equipment fees. Won't ever consider anytime fitness again because of her solely. I will let everyone in the area know about her customer service tactic: to belittle, yawn at and condescend the clients. Yes, that's literally what she said- For anyone with a thinking mind, imagine how insulting that is as a bold faced lie and not even a convincing one.Īfter 7 years of paying $120 extra a year for maintenance and equipment fees on top of the membership fee every month, I realized they didn't want to keep a paying customer after all that time. She said it was a HIPPA violation to give out that information. She was condescending and would never give a straight answer when I asked for a manager higher up. When addressed, Dennice yawned while I was telling her the issue and told me that it really wasn't a problem what they kept the club temperature at. The club has literally been at 80 degrees in the summer and it is a health concern. I had a heat stroke and it is a health issue, but they never put effective fans in the club. We have asked for fans in the club for years. Dennice Young is the worst regional manager in the area.
